The Cross

bhouse0

It’s where we find our saviour, it’s we find our Lord.

It’s where we find forgiveness and life.

It where we find mercy and love and we find the heart of God.

The cross is where I see Jesus with His arms open for me and for you. It’s a constant reminder that Jesus forgives our sins and gives us a hope and a future.

Jesus knew that what was about to happen was going to save the world. He said “IT IS FINISHED!” We have victory! Death has lost its sting!

Jesus is the Saviour of the world as He made a way for us to live in eternity with our maker.

We live in a fallen world - sin is everywhere - we have all sinned, but the good news is that we can have freedom from that sin. We can now have forgiveness for our pasts and a brand new start. Whatever you have done, whoever you’ve been, whatever has happened to you, Jesus forgives you!

There is NOTHING that can separate you from his love. How good is that!!!

You don’t have to be perfect to come to God. He wants us to come as we are. The Bible says that 'while we were still sinners Christ died for us’. He died for our sin. Jesus paid for it all. We can live free and unashamed of our pasts. We no longer need to live condemned - that’s how the enemy wants us to live, but the Bible says ‘there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus’. You do not need to keep living in your past - IT IS FINISHED! God has healed us, forgiven us, and provided an amazing hope and future for us. He wants us to live restored! I encourage you to walk in His freedom. The cross has completed it - it has all been nailed to the cross.

Because of the cross I know I am a daughter of the King, a conqueror, transformed, forgiven, loved, full of peace, strengthened through Jesus Christ, born again, set free, delivered, worthy, chosen, treasured and alive.

God showed me by sending His son to die on the cross for me that He is a good God. He is full of compassion. He is forgiving, loving, kind and gracious. He is faithful, majestic, just, powerful, and full of strength and hope.

The Word of God it tells me who God is, but I know myself that He is a God that shelters me with His wings, forgives my sins, heals all my diseases, covers me with His feathers, watches over me, fills my life with good things, is my place of safety, is the builder of my dreams, lifts me when I am bent beneath my load, restores my soul, heals my broken heart and bandages my wounds, and is full of unfailing love.

God is most worthy of my praise!

Julie Miller wrote a song called, “How Could You Say No To This Man?” I encourage you to choose Him everyday of your life and live in the forgiveness and restoration of the cross!

********************************************************************************************

“Thorns on His head, spear in His side, still it was a heartache that made Him cry.

He gave His life so you would understand, is there anyway you could say ‘no’ to this Man?

If Christ Himself were standing here, face full of glory and eyes full of tears.

He’d hold out His arms with His nail-printed hands, is there any way you could say ‘no’ to this Man?

How could you look in His tear stained eyes, knowing it’s you He’s thinking of?

Would you tell Him you’re not ready to give Him your life? Could you say you don’t think you need His love?

Jesus is here with His arms open wide, you can see Him with your heart if you’ll stop looking with your eyes.

He’s left it up to you, He’s done all that He can, Is there any way you could say ‘no’ to this Man?

Thorns on His head, your life in in His hands, Is there any way you could say ‘no’ to this Man?”
